The Cyclists Lives Matter art work was developed by Critical Mass Nairobi in September 2020 and Trademarked in 2022. The artwork was developed as part of a Campaign by Critical Mass Nairobi in response to the rising cases of avoidable cyclists fatalities and injuries. The campaign was a to action to other road users to see that cyclists are people just like them who's lives are valuable just like theirs.
